Shape the Future of Montessori Excellence

AMI GLOBAL SCHOOL ACCREDITATION

Join the AMI Global School Accreditation pilot program and become part of a worldwide movement strengthening authentic Montessori education!

About the GSA Pilot Program

The AMI Global School Accreditation (GSA) is a professional quality framework designed to support and recognize authentic Montessori schools worldwide. As an Approved Accrediting Agency, Montessori Institute Prague is inviting forward-thinking Montessori schools to apply to join the third pilot phase beginning in Januv

Why Join as a Pilot School?

Participate in an expert-led Self Study Group Coaching Program. Be a Pioneer in Montessori Quality Assurance.

Pilot schools will experience the groundbreaking framework of the GSA Self Study, contributing valuable insights that will shape its final implementation globally.

The Self Study Group Coaching Program provides structured, professional guidance through your entire journey. You won't be working in isolation - you'll be part of a cohort of schools learning and growing together under expert facilitation.

Professional Growth Through Guided Self-Reflection

The Self-Study process isn't a checklist - it's a meaningful journey of reflection and growth. Your entire school community will engage with 38 Quality Standards across four key areas:

  • Organizational Governance and Leadership
  • The Prepared Environment
  • Work of the Adult
  • Work of the Children and Adolescents
  • Personalized Coaching Support

Receive guidance from experienced Montessori coaches who understand your local context and are committed to your school's unique development path.

Join a Global Community

Connect with pilot schools across Canada, the Czech Republic, Norway, Romania, and Spain. Share experiences, challenges, and breakthroughs with peers on the same journey.

Early Recognition

The Self Study Group Coaching Program prepares your school for accreditation - it doesn't grant it automatically. After completing the coaching program and implementing the developmental improvements identified through the Self-Study, your school will be ready for an official review visit. Upon successful review, your school will be among the first in the world to display the official AMI Accredited School badge and be featured on both the AMI website and the Montessori Institute Prague platform. This early recognition positions your school as a leader in authentic Montessori education and demonstrates your commitment to quality and continuous improvement to families, educators, and the broader Montessori community.

The Heart of the Pilot: Self Study Group Coaching Program

  • Expert Facilitation
Led by an experienced and internationally acclaimed Montessori coach Sue Pritzker, trained specifically for the GSA framework, developed by the AMI GSA Steering Committee team.
  • Group Learning Community
Engage with fellow pilot schools from other countries, sharing insights, challenges, and breakthroughs.
  • Structured Support
Ten (10) coaching sessions that guide you through each Quality Area, helping you interpret standards, gather evidence, and engage your whole school community.
  • Professional Development
Transform the Self-Study from a task into a powerful tool for school-wide growth and deeper Montessori alignment.

Investment in Your School's Growth

The Self Study Group Coaching Program is a paid professional development program. By participating, you're investing in:

  • Dedicated coaching expertise to support your accreditation journey
  • A cohort-based learning experience with peer schools
  • Structured guidance through all 38 Quality Standards
  • Professional facilitation that makes the work meaningful, not burdensome.

While the long-term GSA accreditation business model is still being developed collaboratively by AMI and the AAAs, the Self Study Group Coaching Program ensures that pilot schools receive the high-quality support they need during this foundational phase. Investment details and payment structure will be shared during the application process.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the time commitment?

The Self-Study is designed to be integrated into your school's existing professional development rhythm, not added as extra work. Schools move at their own pace toward readiness for review.

Will the pilot cost anything?

Details about the business model are being finalized. The focus of the pilot is on testing the framework and building infrastructure, not creating financial barriers. Contact us for more details.

What if we're not perfect yet?

That's exactly why this framework exists! The GSA is formative - it's designed to help you identify goals and grow, not to expose weaknesses or judge where you are today.

Do we need to have AMI-trained teachers?

While AMI alignment is valued, the specific requirements are part of what the pilot will help clarify. Contact us to discuss your school's situation.

What happens after the pilot?

Successful pilot schools will be among the first accredited schools globally, helping to establish the standard for all Montessori schools that follow.

What if we are not selected but are still interested to do the Self Study on our own?

The Self Study framework is expected to be made publicly available in the second part of 2026.
