Do you recognize this in your classroom?

  • Children want to do things independently, but available activities do not fully meet their needs
  • Practical Life materials feel difficult to adapt with confidence
  • You are unsure how much support is helpful and when it becomes limiting
  • You want to be inclusive, but practical guidance feels unclear

This workshop offers a grounded and respectful approach to supporting independence for all children.

What we focus on:

This practical and interactive workshop focuses on how to support independence through Practical Life for children with disabilities.

Grounded in Montessori principles and classroom experience, participants will explore how to:

  • Support independence while preserving challenge
  • Adapt Practical Life activities with intention and respect
  • Build coordination, confidence, and self trust
  • Shift from fixing the child to preparing the environment

Rather than adding complexity or additional materials, the focus is on observation, thoughtful adaptation, and trust in the child’s capabilities.

This is not about changing what you teach.
It is about expanding access to independence.
