Maria Montessori developed incredible language materials

But not all pupils are able to use them effectively for learning a second language - YET!

Many of us are trying to figure out how to provide our students with supplementary language materials that meet their current needs while respecting the Montessori approach.
We search for inspiration but struggle to find solutions that truly fit our Montessori classrooms and cater to our pupils‘ unique requirements.
Joining a collaborative journey where we share ideas, learn from each other, and explore new perspectives is one way to solve this puzzle!

Join the mentoring program and develop customized second language materials for your Montessori classroom!

Discover how to create and refine teaching materials that align with Montessori principles and effectively support second language learning in your school and classroom.

  • Explore all language skills as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
  • Share and discuss our materials, examining their features and characteristics
  • Inspire each other with ideas and strategies to enhance and improve our teaching materials

Find Your Unique Way!

This program empowers you to develop distinctive language materials that reflect the unique needs of your Montessori school and pupils. By the end of this program, participants will have a comprehensive set of tailored language materials and the confidence and skills to continuously improve their resources and teaching methods.

What do our mentees say?

“This mentoring experience will help me to look at teaching the second language in a completely new way. I will make materials that also have the 'stepped up' approach, like Lucie's shopping practice materials. I feel so positive and more confident about the work waiting in the new school year.”

Frequently Asked Questions

What is mentoring?

Mentoring comes in various forms. Watch our short introductory video in the section "What to expect from this mentoring program?" for an overview.

Can I attend this mentoring program if I have no mentoring experience?

Absolutely. Our mentor will guide you through the process, regardless of your previous experience. Additionally, you will receive a Learning and Reflective Journal to support you throughout the series.

Will there be assignments?

Yes and no. There are no graded assignments during or at the end of the program. However, you will actively engage with tasks and materials used in your classroom. Expect to spend some extra time viewing short pre-recorded videos (approximately 15 minutes per session) and documenting your thoughts in your Learning and Reflective Journal. Remember, mentoring's core principle is: The more you invest in reflection, the more you gain.

Why are sessions scheduled three weeks apart?

This interval allows ample time to refine your supplementary language materials, implement them in your classrooms, and bring your insights to online sessions for sharing and discussions.
