What happens when Montessori is lived across cultures, systems, and realities?

This is not theory.

This is what Montessori looks like across continents, cultures, and conditions, from world-class training centers to adolescent farm schools, from public systems to environments few ever get to witness.

Over 25 days, we step into Montessori communities across the USA and Mexico.

Now, we are opening this experience to you.

You may not have been able to travel with us.
But through this series, you can see what we see, reflect on what we learn, and bring it into your own work.

Montessori Expedition Series

A practical online series exploring what long-established Montessori environments can teach Europe today.

#1

Bridging Decades: Lessons from the Americas for European Montessori

May 15, 2026  •  5:00–7:30 p.m. CEST

Many Montessori schools in Europe are still growing.

In the USA and Mexico, some have been evolving for over 50 years.

What “mature Montessori” actually looks like in practice:

  • How long-established schools operate in practice
  • What challenges they have already solved
  • What we can adopt today to avoid common growing pains

This is about shortening the learning curve.

#2

The Adolescent Frontier: From Rural Farms to Urban Rooftop

May 20, 2026  •  5:00–7:30 p.m. CEST

Adolescent Montessori is often still in the “trying and testing” phase in Europe.

We visited environments where this work is deeply established.

What makes these models truly work:

  • Practical insight into farm-based and urban environments
  • Real structures behind successful Erdkinder programs
  • A clearer path from experimentation to sustainability
#3

Montessori Beyond Boundaries: Breaking the “Elite” Stereotype

June 3, 2026  •  5:00–7:30 p.m. CEST

Montessori is often seen as exclusive.

What we saw tells a different story.

How Montessori works in unexpected contexts:

  • How Montessori adapts without losing its essence
  • What accessibility truly looks like in practice
  • How the method serves those who need it most

This session may shift how you think about Montessori’s role in society.

#4

The Blueprint for Quality: Navigating Montessori Accreditations

June 10, 2026  •  5:00–7:30 p.m. CEST

Quality in Montessori is not accidental.

It is built, guided, and sustained.

What defines high-quality Montessori practice:

  • What distinguishes a truly high-quality environment
  • How accreditation works in real conditions
  • What it takes to move from good to excellent

Mirka Vlckova

Founder of Montessori Schools Andílek & Montessori Institute Prague

Mirka Vlckova first encountered Montessori when her youngest son was born. Despite having no formal training, financial resources, or external support, she was determined to bring Montessori education to her child. Starting with a volunteer mother’s group, she successfully established a Montessori kindergarten and elementary school, followed by an international Montessori teacher training center, and later, an adolescent farm program.

Hana Chramostova

Director of Montessori Schools Andílek

Hana is a school leader and strategist with years of experience as a principal in Montessori education. She focuses on building strong teams, clear systems, and environments where Montessori principles are lived consistently in daily practice.

Her work centers on aligning people, processes, and vision, helping schools grow into stable, authentic communities where both adults and children can thrive.

WHO IT IS FOR:

  • Montessori guides and assistants (all age groups)
  • School leaders and founders
  • AMI students and graduates
  • Anyone seeking deeper understanding of Montessori in practice
  • Educators who want to expand beyond their local context
