AMI Administrators CERTIFICATE COURSE
What is the webinar about?
Observation of children is crucial for Montessori guides and classroom assistants. Observation is crucial for every adult in the Montessori environment, especially for the school's administrators and leaders. Observation of every aspect of the school operation, including classroom observations, helps our leaders know where to focus their energy to assure every child is thriving. How do we find the time in our schedules to do this? How do we know if we are actually scientific observers?
KEY AREAS WE WILL FOCUS ON
- Observation is the Cornerstone of Montessori practice. Without observation there is no Montessori.
- Observation provides administrative insights.
What are the key actions needed for administrators to effectively observe the community? How can we include all staff, parents, and board members in the process? - Observation offers the support teachers need to grow and improve.
Feedback is essential for the growth of both children and adults and observation provides the information for that feedback. - Observation Empowers us to Follow the Child.
We must foster a culture of observation throughout the school community, not just in the classrooms.
