✉️Newsletter: Courage, Bilingual Montessori & Difference between Orientation and Assistant Courses
Dear Montessori colleagues and friends around the world, hello!
Today I am writing to you from my most favorite spa. I decided to leave my family and the Institute for one full week!, to rest and restore my energy. I have had health issues due to all kinds of stress and I am committed to taking good care of myself in 2023, so that I can continue to make Montessori more accessible for you.
The quiet heaven I am in allows me to focus on the online mentoring program for those of you who asked my help to make your Montessori dream project come true in 2023. We are starting on January 30. And we have 2 more spots in the second group, should you want to join. Check out the stack of books I brought to study and use for the program :)! Here is where you can apply.
I want to share the story of one of the brave amazing women who applied to work with me in my mentoring group. Her dream is to start an adolescent program in her country where Montessori is not known so well. She knows I purchased a farm for our adolescent program at our school. She knows the hardships we have faced. And yesterday she wrote to me: “Mirka, I don’t know what is happening! I have always had this dream to build an adolescent program. The day I decided to join your program, I was approached by two people who came to me and said they want to help me achieve my dream financially. Just like that, out of nowhere! The dream is happening. I just joined your program, we have not started working together yet, and…it is happening!”
That is an abundance mindset. We Montessorians have to stop thinking that our opportunities are limited and that we will not earn enough money for our projects. Only when we switch to abundance, when we start believing that we can do it because others did and that the money will come, things start happening!
Trust me. I have been there and done it. When I started my work, I had zero funds. But I knew my “why” and I trusted that the vision would find its supporters. And it did!
You can imagine how I feel, reading her words and receiving this confirmation that I am on the right track, offering my mentoring program, right? Yet another beautiful confirmation that we are on the right journey, that when we connect around visions and projects and we believe in them with abundance, things start moving. That is my “why” for my mentoring program. I want to share this skill with you. It took me 14 years to gain it :). You do not have to take so long.
Phew :)! How humbling.
And, as you can imagine, there are other amazing things in the pipeline :).
We are very pleased to launch the FREE ONLINE BILINGUAL MONTESSORI Community Conversations series.
The first free talk is on the topics of: “Successful Language Acquisition and Learning in a Montessori Environment” from the perspective of cognitive neuroscience and from the pedagogical perspectives of a Montessori classroom. And it is given by Birgitta Berger. What are the differences between language acquisition and learning?

There is confusion around ASSISTANT VERSUS ORIENTATION COURSES! We want to help you with that.

We are hosting the LAST EVER FULLY ONLINE AMI 3-6 ASSISTANT CERTIFICATE COURSE. AMI rules for Assistant courses changed. From 2023 if you want to obtain an ASSISTANT certificate, you have to attend part of the course onsite.
After this course, we are hosting ORIENTATION COURSES only. So, do not take a chance and enroll if you are aiming at being a 3-6 classroom assistant.
