Dear Montessori colleagues around the world, hello!

Did you see our new yellow and blue wizard image? Plamena and I think it is hilarious, the two of us with grant writing wizard hats 😂..

And I sincerely hope you laughed when you saw it. We are feeling like having a bit of fun in our Montessori Institute Prague life. And we hope that our social media gives it away and you feel the springy fun little tickle too :)…

In the video below I am not wearing a wizard hat, though 🙂. It is a video in which I am answering the question of what is a grant.

A week ago we announced that we are opening another grant writing mentoring group. And one of you wrote us back and said: “What is a grant?”

This really made me stop for a moment and think. I often get feedback from my MIP colleagues that I am terribly fast, like a rocket. I assumed everyone knows what grants are!

So I was really glad that one of you actually wrote to us and asked for clarification. 

Hopefully the video helps. Grant money is really important for all of you who run non profit organizations, be it schools or family centers or.. It can really help you develop your work.

It certainly helped us. 

Other than grants, life in MIP is good.

We celebrated one year of hosting our Ukrainian colleague Liudmila Shpakovich with her family in the building of MIP. With her permission I am sharing photos of little Sophie. She is 9 months old today. She, her mom and her aunt Liudmila are strong daughters of Ukraine, taking life a day at a time and enjoying the gifts they were given – each other especially. 

I feel this is enough for today. May spring and hope emanate from my words to you wherever you are. I hope you are able to acknowledge the gifts that you have received and the good that is present in your life.
